Quantum LDPC construction and decoding using larger finite fields and the degeneracy of quantum errors.
Overview
Non-binary LDPC codes carry richer local messages than binary codes. We combine CSS constructions, syndrome decoding, and degeneracy-aware methods to approach the hashing bound at practical complexity and finite blocklengths.
Our software adapts sum-product BP (SPA) to non-binary structures and combines it with post-processing that exploits quantum-code degeneracy.
